Anti AI alternatives to DA and my experience.
So I've been actively deleting most of my gallery. I had 1300 deviations to start, and Da lovingly took out the ability to bulk delete your images, and put a nice little shitty note about how they won't do it for you So kind. Let's be honest, it's to keep images on their site and make the process of leaving that much more a pain in the ass. Because if the images aren't up on here, then how will they soullessly scrape your hard work for big WixBucks? Why did it feel weirdly cathartic to delete 9 daily deviations??? Anyways. So I've been looking into alternatives to DA. SheezyArt - My SheezyArt Page SheezyArt, I think, will be the genuine successor to DA. Ironically, for people not old as sin and don't know, SheezyArt *used* to be the direct competitor of deviantart back in like...2003 -2013. Relaunched in 2021, it's currently in a beta until 2025. That means unless you pay 3 bucks, you have to try and fight for an hourly free account slot. (just don't bother, I tried at like

The traditional art, Copic / Watercolor / Marker piece Sorcha Scrying auction ends tonight. I can't go to conventions any more so if you've ever wanted to get original art from me now's your chance! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55828208
Damn. Has it really been so long? DA used to be one of my fav places and it still an active place for me. At least for posting art. I still fav the art of others who I currently +watch, but I rarely use DA for so many of the things I used to. I can't browse for inspiration any more, or search for new artists. Finding stock images or art tutorials has become near impossible. People don't tag things properly, AI garbage is every where, even the groups are floundering. I so wish they'd never sold the site to Wix. I so wish they'd never gotten rid of categories, and I definitely wish they hadn't allowed AI let alone embraced it. I thank those of you who remain to fav on my art and continue to watch me here. I have no plans to leave just yet, but if you do go I hope you'll watch me on Bluesky or on Furaffinity.
