Yet another experimental piece. But this time I feel like I really learned a lot. Even if a piece doesn't come out good ( like this one, it's got a lot of problems) I discovered much about the ways the medium work.
A: make sure your acrylic paint says Opaque. oy vey. No wonder I've been having issues. Most of my paints were transparent. B: this is done on watercolor paper with a gesso undercoat. I haven't really done that much before but it did nice this time. I like it. I can't wait for later so I can use everything I learned on something better drawn. I was overly hasty when putting down the lines so the face is kinda wonky. photo ref used on the horse a bit. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
