OMG COOL IDEA!!!!

Hey all!

It's really great to see such a positive response to this idea. So here is the down low. I'm not offering to do 'tutorials'. DA has a zillion and one of those. A tutorial is great, I've used them plenty and found them very helpful. Unfortunately what they aren't is interactive. What happens if you have a question? And often times artists end up missing a step or assume the person reading the tutorial has certain knowledge.

So what I *AM* offering is one on one, personal tutoring on art, in the subjects of your individual need and request. That means I will personally talk to you about what challenges you are having, I'll even critique a picture or two of yours if you wish and answer any questions you have on techniques and materials.

So what's the catch you say? I know every one is strapped for funds now days, but currently my ONLY income is art. I would really like to be able to continue doing art as my full time career but to do so I need the help of people like you.

When I was in middle school my mom took me to several classes taught by local artists, and then later on I went to college, obviously my family and I did have to pay for the information and time I received.

Thus here is my offer to you!


There are two options:

A) One hour of personal one on one discussion and instruction via an instant messenger service like ICQ, AIM, or Yahoo. I will discuss as many topics as you wish within one hour. I will also give you a copy of Open Canvas v 1.1 where you can watch how I draw and color, and use it to help guide you through various techniques. Price $15.00



B) Two one hour sessions of personal one on one discussion and instruction via an instant messenger service like ICQ, AIM, or Yahoo. I will discuss as many topics as you wish within the two one hour sessions. I will also give you a copy of Open Canvas v 1.1 where you can watch how I draw and color, and use it to help guide you through various techniques. In addition, this gives you an extra hour in which I can give you an 'assignment' and the next day we can discuss the art work which you created and any challenges you might have had with it. This is a great way for you to come back with any extra questions you might have forgotten to ask during the first class! Price: $20.00


Here is a list of available topics : How to make money on IMVU!, Basics of Drawing, The Best Materials and where to get them CHEAP!, Watercolors, Acrylic Inks, Copic/Prisma Markers, Color Pencils, Inking, How to Draw Comics, How to use Open Canvas (all versions), How to digitally color with Photoshop, Color Theory. And if you have questions other than what's on this list feel free to ask!

OMG COOL IDEA!!!!

I had a most awesome idea today.. at least I hope it's an awesome idea.

Over the years people have said to me I ought to try teaching art, but I've always declined. I'm not much of a school kind of person. However that's not to say I don't enjoy helping people out. That I do. Then it hit me as I was doodling.

What if I could help people who actually WANTED to learn how to draw? Not kids forced at school to take some course, but individuals on a personal basis. Now that would be awesome.



So this is the question I pose to you! Yes YOU!

How would you like for me to share with YOU, all that I know about Drawing!, Inking!, Coloring with Markers or With OpenCanvas or Photoshop?!!

It doesn't even matter where you live! The internet solves this problem!
